Terms of service

The service

sograph matches members to employers’ demands on skills. A member’s name and email reach an employer only when the member accepts that employer’s intro. How it works is described on How it works, and what we do with data on Privacy policy.

Accounts

Accounts are by invite. You must be 18 or older, use an email address you control, and keep one account for yourself. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what happens under your account.

What you list

Skills you list must be your own and honestly levelled. We do not verify skills, identities, employment or security clearances, and nothing on sograph means we did. Do not enter clearance details or anything classified, export-controlled or confidential to an employer.

You keep the rights to what you enter. You let us store and process it, and show it to employers in the anonymised form described in the privacy policy, with your name and email only after you accept an intro.

Intros

Employers use intros only to discuss real work with the member, and use a member’s name and contact details only for that. A declined or expired intro is an answer.

Not allowed

• Creating fake accounts, or listing skills you do not have.
• Trying to identify a member who has not accepted your intro, for example by creating accounts, combining demands or analysing results.
• Scraping, automated access, or loading the service beyond normal use.
• Passing on invite links for fake or bulk accounts.
• Spam, harassment, discrimination, or anything unlawful.

We may suspend or delete accounts that do these things, together with accounts created from the same invites.

Fees

Members never pay. Employers get 3 intro requests per 30 days free. Pro costs USD 49 a month, billed through Stripe, and renews monthly until you cancel on Billing; cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid month, and partial months are not refunded unless the law requires it. We give 30 days’ notice before a price change.

Ending

You can stop using sograph at any time and delete your account on Account. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms or to protect members.

Disclaimers and liability

sograph is provided as is. We do not promise matches, hires, uptime, or that other users are who they say they are; hiring and contracting decisions are yours. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing.

Law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, USA, and disputes go to the courts there. When the terms change we update the date above and email account holders about changes that matter; using sograph after that means you accept them. Questions: mike@0pon.com.
